Project Objective

Design, structural analysis and development of three seat assembly comprising:

  • Composite seat backs
  • Mixed metal seat frame predominantly aluminium

  • Non-linear dynamic analysis of static 10 deg. ‘pitch & roll’ preload using LS-DYNA

  • Use of epoxy carbon fibre systems to deliver key objective of leg room improvement
  • Design to meet stringent aerospace fire regulations (FAR 25.823)
