  • Recruitment & HR Advisor
    As the Recruitment & HR Advisor you will be providing support to the Operations Director, Human Resources Manager and Penso workforce, in the delivery of corporate and business objectives, as well as supporting the business to incorporate robust Recruitment & HR processes. You will ensure all Recruitment & HR activity is compliant to employment law and maintain strong relationships with Management and Senior Management.Recruitment:

    • Ensuring that the recruitment plan and process is followed in line with company objectives for all areas of the business
    • Managing the full recruitment process from vacancy briefings, CV shortlisting, through to interviews and job offers, proving support to the hiring manager through the whole recruitment process
    • Source and actively head hunt candidates directly using tools such as LinkedIn and maintain the internal applicant database
    • Ensure that all recruitment is in compliance with immigration law regulations and equal opportunities law
    • Coordination of the Apprentice and Graduate
    • Attendance of recruitment events/fairs
    • Liaise with Recruitment suppliers and preferred Recruitment agencies
    • Coordinate all Employee Referral Scheme enquiries
    • Produce and distribute weekly KPI’s on recruitment
    • To produce a weekly recruitment report including information of live and filled positions and which outlines lead times and current recruitment status on all vacancies
    • Deliver weekly vacancy bulletins, referral scheme notices and new starter bulletin communications
    • Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and accessible
    • Coordinate reference checks
    • To design and implement a psychometric testing format for management level (and above) vacancies and include this into the recruitment process as a standard

    Advice & Guidance:

    • Maintain and up to date knowledge of Employment law and HR legislation
    • Develop review and implement HR policies in line with employment law legislation
    • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR to managers and employees –to include but not limited to Absenteeism/Recruitment/Performance management within the Manufacturing area
    • To coordinate complex disciplinary and grievances in line with employment law and company policies
    • Manage Maternity and paternity meetings, advice and letters
    • Manage Flexi working request meetings and letters

    Administrative Tasks:

    • Manage leavers process
    • Carry out exit interviews
    • Process employment change forms
    • Annual employee details form requests for data protection and update of records with help from HR Administrator
    • Monthly payroll coordination, return to work forms and any change forms as well as leavers process to be completed on or before the payroll cut-off date
    • IT set up for new starters and full new starter process
    • To support the HR Manager with the annual performance review process; providing review forms to all managers, setting up their appraisal appointments and issuing letters to personnel after appraisals

    • Senior Plant Accountant – Finance
      The job holder must be experienced in the role of Senior Plant Accountant and be able to “hit the ground running”.  Candidates should be fully converse with the use of Sage 200, accounting, purchasing and be competent to work with project accounting.The role will have responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts within the Company’s reporting timetable, providing support to the Group Financial Controller with the ability to provide cover and supervise others in the process.The job holder will assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts, bi-monthly management reporting’s, variance analysis and other post cost and change analysis whilst highlighting any trends to the FC and assisting with the value add to the Finance Director and the Business.A strong management accounts background is essential with experience of a multi-faceted complex Business environment, with the ability to develop control processes and identify areas for improvement supporting the Group Financial Controller.  Able to work across the Business functions; inclusive of Supply chain; MP&L & Production & Engineering Teams.Preparation and reconciliation of quarterly VAT & monthly PAYE returns for approval.Use of banking systems, cash flow reporting and management of the treasury function a key feature of the role to assist timely and accurate Cashflow reporting.The role requires significant flexibility.Essential Skills:

      • Excellent problem-solving skills; good grounding in accounting and use of MIS
      • Proficient in participating with monthly accounts preparation and reporting; timely, consistent and accurately, working as part of a Team and supporting the Group FC
      • Strong treasury control; use of banking systems and cash flow reporting
      • Qualified or Part qualified CIMA/ACCA within a manufacturing environment
      • Excellent MS-Office skills with a strong knowledge of Excel
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Strong team player with ambition to strive for continuous improvement processes
      • SME experience

    • Principal Engineer – Quality
      The key purpose of this role is to ensure that project quality deliverables are defined, understood and completed to a high standard in line with the overall project timing. Key responsibilities of the role:

      • Lead project, manufacturing, supplier and quality teams to plan, define and execute project quality objectives and deliverables
      • Qualify customer’s specific instructions and ensure they are applied and adhered to, on time, within the scope of the project
      • Coordinate project team members to ensure that quality data is available and presented in line with overall project timing
      • Produce timing plans and metrics that allow the progress of quality objectives to be monitored
      • Chair project quality meetings with team members and customers to ensure quality objectives are understood and achieved, generating minutes and actions
      • Coordinate PPAP documentation as required
      • Provide input into engineering regarding quality issues and report upon engineering output against quality targets
      • Provide input into manufacturing regarding quality issues and report upon manufacturing output against quality targets
      • Chair and lead 8D corrective and preventive actions
      • Support the development of the supply chain.

      Essential skills include holding a degree in engineering or relevant subject, the ability produce clear and accurate technical reports to an extremely high standard

      It would also be desirable to have SPC / MSA training / experience.


    • Buyer
      The job holder will be required to think and act with commercial awareness and will use this skill across all functions of the business; making key commercial decisions on behalf of the business.You will provide support in service part management and warranty; supporting capital expenditure purchasing activity and site service procurement needs.The role has responsibility for the implementation of ECRs and the negotiation and implementation of service agreements with key suppliers. You will establish and implement a robust schedule of production parts where applicable and be responsible for planning, supply management, and inventory analysis.As part of this role you will work on initiatives to improve supplier relationships and identify best value for money practices, and the development of current and future new product strategies with Engineering to optimise costs, whilst meeting the Quality standards as required under TS16949.

      HEADLINE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:ESSENTIAL:

      • Manufacturing &/or Automotive background
      • Evidence of meeting deliverables in a fast paced working environment
      • Strong interpersonal and articulate skills
      • Strong communication skills verbal and written
      • Decisive, pro-active and assertive qualities
      • To be a self-starter, using own initiative and think things through to solution
      • IT literate – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
      • Good knowledge of NPI
      • Strong analytical skills
      • MRP/ERP system experience

      DESIRABLE:

      • CIPS Degree Qualified
